The background to this track is that initially, I wanted to create something that sounded like "Dimension" (since that one was so well received). Somewhere along the process I strayed away from that idea though. I ended up using a brighter chord progression and swing-time percussion. I thought that it fit very well and added some licks out of my trusted brass library to round it off. I'm happy with how it turned out - it has a very groovy sound and I used some new techniques in terms of composition and sound design.

For now, I'll take a break before I continue on one of my other open songs. I might release something in the style of "Rivals" next.

Hi,

I noticed that some people were confused by the username I was using on here (and some other places as well), so I decided to change it.

To clarify: my artist alias has always been Creo. I just used "hyperdemented" among many other nicknames whenever my name was already taken. This happens quite a lot and on sites like twitter there are hardly any decent alternatives.

Anyway, right now I'm also working on new tunes. Hopefully I'll have one ready for you in the coming weeks. I might make it free to use again, like Dimension.

Hello,

I have been working on a new EP for the past couple of months. It will be out on March 5th, you can watch a short teaser for it on YouTube:

I have been trying out new things for this EP.

The first song, "Challenger", is a very upbeat 128 bpm electro song in my usual style.
"Rivals" is a blend of cinematic and electronic music. You could describe it as Melodic Dubstep but it doesn't have any of the signature wobble bass or warped sounds that you would find among other artists in the genre.
The last one, "Nemophore", is a very experimental song. It has got a lighter tone than my usual stuff and features a lot of percussive instrumentation.

That's all I have to say about the music for now. I may upload one song in full a few days ahead of the release.

I just finished my submission for this year's Pixel Day. I participated in the last one and got third place with this song:

Besides that, I also have a Melodic Dubstep song I am working on. I have put a lot of effort into it so far, and I think it is turning out great. It will probably be another couple of weeks before I am going to release it, though.

Well here it is, took me about half a year. Nothing too special, a few songs got scrapped in the process but I'm satisfied with how the rest turned out and learned a bunch of things. Hope you enjoy the whole thing! Have a nice weekend ;)
